People buy packs of “Junk Jewels”. As other people said, they are used for crafting. You can either use them onypur own or sell/trade them. But since I am not that into trading I have no idea how much they are worth, but I don’t think they are worth that much. I know nothing about crafting. I’ll have to Google.

I put a red jewel that adds max damage to weapon and a pink jewel that adds min damage to weapon to a 2-slot Full Helm. It should be straightforward, would give me a Full Helm with adds min and max damage on my weapon.

The reason to use jewels is that you can get 2 mods on one socketable, such as enhanced damage and IAS or damage and lowered req’s. if you don’t need 20% IAS from a shael, but only 15% to hit a break point, you can use a jewel of fervor and hit that breakpoint as well as get an extra mod.

Remember that it’s usually a combination of mods, not just a single mod, that makes the jewels valuable.
