Welcome to Wowhead’s guide to Jewels in Diablo II: Resurrected (D2:R). This guide will cover Jewels, stones you can insert into gear sockets to add properties to armor and weapons. Jewels are only available to players running the Lord of Destruction (LoD) expansion in D2:R. This option is selected by default.

They are needed for all recipes in crafting and should therefore be saved. They come in three different rarity levels.
Remember that it’s usually a combination of mods, not just a single mod, that makes the jewels valuable. Also check the lvl req of the jewel as even a “nonperfect” jewel can be godly if it meets the lvl req of low level dueling(I’m no dueler but I think lvl9/18/30 are pretty common, or at least were pretty common, dunno how big the lld scene is nowdays).
