When Imperius burned Leah and Diablo came out of the shell, I would assume her body was burned away. As she was innocent and unwilling, her soul should continue on, seeing as this soulstone wasn’t implanted in her head. The way the fanfic in my head goes is that Malthael and Leah are just sitting in some blueish death powered corner of hell undisturbed by the surrounding demons. But we can’t access the pair who both had their souls dragged into hell and all we see and hear is Leah crying with Malthael sitting next to her.
