As said already it takes ages to load into online directly. Main reason is that at least half the time spent “loading” is spent searching for a session and joining it. It takes like a minute or two to boot into sp then about 20 seconds to boot into invite only.
Downloads speeds vary from user to user, based on service provider. The game comes in two parts because the disc version has two discs. The second download is roughly the same size as the first, so in theory, it should take as long to download the second part as it did the first. Hope that helps.
