I had the same problem with the disappering emblem! I changed the language of the website (e.g. in english) and then it worked! That’s the solution. Thank you very much !!! Having switched language to English in my profile, I now also get the button “Make crew emblem” when I hover over the emblem with my mouse in the emblem gallery.
If you want to edit or make one it is impossible on mobile. If you have already one go to your crew→emblems there you will find all emblems for your crew. Chose one→set as emblem.
