If you already have an active Microsoft account, please follow these steps to migrate your Mojang account. Login to minecraft.net with your Mojang account and find the prompt IT’S YOUR TURN TO MOVE! on your profile page and click MOVE MY ACCOUNT. The launcher message about migration will also redirect you to the profile page.

You have a button for accounts in the Minecraft Launcher. There you can create or link one when you click on Add Microsoft Account, then you can link your current account or create one that will then be linked.

If you use a Mojang account, you will need to migrate to a Microsoft account to continue playing Minecraft: Java Edition. Your account/profile will remain, but you will not be able to access the game until you complete migration.

Allow players to link all of their accounts to one Microsoft account. Many players have more than one Minecraft account, requiring them to create multiple Microsoft accounts is completely pointless. I see no obvious reason as to why a Microsoft account couldn’t function as a key holder to all of my accounts.

1 Answer1. Show activity on this post. The Migration FAQ seems to hint at contacting Mojang support with your Transaction ID (see here on how to obtain it). As far as I know there is no way to reverse linking a Microsoft account, as the migation is permanent, so your best bet is probably Mojang support.
