Asked by egoche 5 years 7 months ago. When I look at the list of captured Pokémon, I noticed that some have a bluish background, but others don’t. For instance, I have 5 Eevee. Three of them have the background, but the other two don’t.

I have noticed that a few of my Pokemon have a blue highlight on them: From my inspection, I haven’t been able to identify it’s purpose. It doesn’t distinguish CP, or if that Pokemon was caught or hatched, or even if that Pokemon is able to be leveled up or evolved.

So i have a park right behind my house and it has 2 stops and a gym that gets stolen every night. I have to go to my backyard to reach it so i do every night. I finally met the guy stealing it and cracked a joke when i saw he had to do the same thing, go to his backyard. I told him we have to fight it out winner gets the gym.

During the game’s first days, many players believed that this blue aura only surrounded Pokémon that were, in some way, special or had special stats/movesets, with some players even going as far as to speculate that the blue aura had something to do with Ditto, a Pokémon that still hasn’t been found and captured within the game.

All this blue glow signifies is that the Pokemon has been caught within the past 24 hours. It’s simply meant to be a helpful little visual to draw your eye to the most recent captures, distinguishing them from the Pokemon that were in your inventory already.Related Questions
