So im gona do a view test startups for online mode now and see if that worked. Nope, that dident do anything either. I just start up the game, Select story mode. Then wean im loaded into story mode, i press ESC, go to online and just press ”GO” to go to a random online session. And then it starts loading for a view seconds.

then most likely its your routing not setup properly. usually people who have this problem also have moderate or strict NAT. Or your firewall program isn’t letting GTA go through. it just loaded, i used to have strict Nat but i managed to make it open ah well then don’t use steam overlay while you are waiting for it to load.

The only way around that I’ve found is to load up Story Mode then from there load up GTA online and after a bit of loading I have open resource monitor from task manager and suspend GTA for like 20s and then repeat that until it loads. I have the rockstar games launcher version.

Can confirm it does this in story mode too. It seems to pause the game state. If you launch and alt-tab out at the sirens intro. then go back, it will continue from the sirens intro. It annoys the shit out of me, I’d like to be able to do something else while waiting the 5-10 minutes to get into online.
